It would be nice if the developers provided some kind of hint system, but this would add unnecessary elements to the uncluttered, minimalistic interface. The downside is that some puzzles are solved in a simple way through trial and error, and for the successful completion of the task it takes time, but not savvy.
At Rusty Lake Paradise, puzzles are a means to complete the story. You will navigate along the storyline using relatively muted gameplay. The plot and mood are “soul and heart” of the game. However, it is not as gloomy as strange. It’s characterized by simplicity and rigor, well known to fans of Edgar Allan Poe’s work. It’s a Gothic horror, although you don’t have to jump in terror.
The graphics and music are imbued with the mood. It gives true pleasure under the bewitching music to watch the interweaving of characters and plots in the universe, which at the same time seems absurd and realistic. The game has several visual indicators, the meaning of which becomes clear only after you return to the same place two or three times. Many of them seem completely pointless until it becomes clear why they are needed. Despite the fact that the struggle with each disaster takes place at the same locations, the plot changes, and at the same time some changes are made to the surrounding reality. That is, the impact of each adversity on the life of the island in the game is displayed visually.
